Great post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.

After you have found appropriate keywords for your website, it is essential that you conduct further research into your competitors who are also attempting to rank for those terms. Often you will see that others have created complete websites to reach the top of searches for larger, broader terms. However, what you should be looking for – especially at the start – is a term that provides sufficient traffic and has a website article at the top or internal page. What this means is that for the majority of the time, you will have a great opportunity to rank your website higher in the search engines than the article or internal page ranking at the top for that term.
Email marketing is the way to go in these tough economic times. It is inexpensive and highly effective if it is properly applied. Build your list through smart but ethical advertising. Keep a Private Policy in place to reassure customers that their email address will certainly not be abused in any way.
